Elizabeth “Missy” G. Landry, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 55, and a native of Baton Rouge. Missy was given many obstacles in life, and she conquered these every day. She was accomplished in crochet, knitting, and cross-stich. Her many gifts using these talents had brought joy to countless. Her courage, independence and perseverance were an example to all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm and a recitation of the rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park following a graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Waguespack, Justin Waguespack, Stephen Waguespack, Frank Vaccaro, LJ Landry and Nathan Coupel. She is survived by her sister, Mona Waguespack and her husband Sidney of Greenwell Springs; three nephews, Daniel Waguespack and his wife Angela of Prairieville, Justin Waguespack and his wife Candace of Upland, CA, and Stephen Waguespack and his wife Jennifer of Prairieville; two great nephews, Anthony and Cooper Waguespack; one great niece, Genevieve Waguespack; and a special cousin, Vanessa Vince. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlen and Blanche Landry. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Missy’s honor.
