Betty was a deeply devoted Catholic and known for her kind, compassionate demeanor where she had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. She was an educator and Assistant Principal until retirement. Betty spent 32 of her 40 years at Redemptorist High School, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues, and became part of the Wolfpack Nation. Betty loved LSU and loved to attend baseball and football games with her husband.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald (Ronnie) Jackson; daughters, Rhonda Jackson Bush (Bryan) and Julie Jackson Fife (Brad); sons, Brian Jackson, and Monroe Jackson; grandchildren, Courtney Jackson, Alex Jackson Hodges, Baylie Fife, Cody Fife, Madison Jackson, Mary Jordan Jackson, Morgan Jackson, and Zack Jackson; numerous great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Barbara LeJeune.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Baptist “JB” LeJeune, and Olive Mae LeJeune; and brother Sanford LeJeune.
A visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
