Eleanor Harrison Belcher, a native of Chipping Norton, England, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, and was residing in Greenbrier, AR, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the age of 89. She was very passionate of our Lord and was an avid reader of the Bible. She had a prison ministry that helped numerous inmates across the Gulf South. She wrote numerous letters to many inmates that culminated in leading them to the Lord. She was survived by her children, Elaine Harrison Jones and husband, James Paul, Shirley Harrison, Marion Eliser and husband, Carey, Ronald Harrison, Roy Harrison and wife, Sheryl, and Rosalie Harrison; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
