Edmond Cooper McCallum (Uncle Nabob), a native of Plaquemine and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on July 17, 2016 at his home at the age of 87. He was known to his family as "Dookie". He was proceeded in death by his mother, Elma Gascon McCallum Morrison, father Prior McCallum, Sr., brothers Prior A. Jr., Sidney Lee (Cotton), Berlyn (Buddy), and sisters Edith Christensen and Margaret Wade. He is survived by daughters, Elma Sue McCallum and husband Donald Hood and Pamela McCallum and husband Patrick Bourgeois, granddaughters, Megan Hood Walker, Suzanne Bourgeois and Kristin Bourgeois McPherson, and grandsons Levi Hood and Michael Bourgeois. He was a pipe welder and member of Local 198 for 58 years. He enjoyed playing music with his friends and played many instruments. He was a member of Lanier Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4pm-8pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 9am until funeral services begin at 10am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
