Edith Burris, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 13 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Addie and Curtis Bowman; mother and father-in-law, Lola and Eugene Burris Sr.; husband, Eugene Burris Jr., and her grandson, Christopher Burris. She is survived by three children, Randy Burris, Lynda Caillais and Lisa Burris; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. A private internment was held at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Tiger Athletic Fund.
