Dorothy Tiner Cooper

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalms 136) Dorothy Tiner “Dot” Cooper 83, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a resident of Baker and native of Pine Grove, LA passed away on Saturday March 10, 2012, at 4:00 am at the Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge. Dorothy was a retired school bus driver with the East Baton Parish. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Monday March 12, 2012 from 5:00 pm til 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Zoar Baptist Church on Tuesday March 13, 2012 from 9:00 am until funeral service at the church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Clyde A. Cooper, Sr.; one daughter Rhonda Cooper Martin; three sons Clyde “Skip” Cooper, Jr. and wife Susan, Jeffery Cooper and wife Vickie and David Cooper and wife Tanya; one sister Gladys King Lindsey; nine grandchildren Jennifer Cooper Boe’ and husband Joel, B.J. Cooper, Sarah Martin, Mackenzie Martin Nudera and husband Gregory “Ikie”, Brittany Cooper, Joshua Cooper and wife Stephanie, Keith Cooper, Todd Cooper and wife Meredith and Michelle Cooper and eight great grandchildren Ethaniel Rizan, Ashton Nudera, Leeland Nudera, Rylan Boe’, Auden Boe’, Ever Boe’, Adalie Boe’ and Kaylin Cooper. She was preceded in death by Neelis and Birdie Tiner, H.R. Tiner, Gertie Tiner Watson and Larmar “Punk” Tiner. Pallbearers will be Clyde “Skip” Cooper, Jeffery Cooper, David Cooper, B.J. Cooper, Keith Cooper, Joshua Cooper and Todd Cooper. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church where she was the founder of the Craft Room and a devoted nursery worker.
