Loving Wife to her Husband Donald LaPorte for 60 years. Istrouma High Graduate of 1963.
She loved her family, leaving a special mark on all she met. She loved car shows with her husband and special friends they made along the way. A beautiful cake designer in her early days. A beautician (hair dresser) in her home for 30 plus years raising kids and helping with family and friends. Office manager for Quality Collision Center family owned business. Until retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald LaPorte; son, Troy M. LaPorte of Houma, LA wife Mistie; daughter, DeEtte Brouillette of Prairieville, LA, husband Greg; grandchildren, Garrett Brouillette of Prairieville, Grant Brouillette of Prairieville, Malori Sims (LaPorte) of Ruston, LA, and Josi LaPorte of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Marie Fabre; father, Murphy Fabre; brother, Louis Fabre; and brother, Robert Fabre, Sr.
She was Aunt Diane to 13 nieces and nephews, and many others because she just loved us all.
She loved LSU and watching games on TV with family and friends. She hosted many Labor Day LSU games in her home with family going to the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival in Morgan City. She loved to fish catching reds and specks. She loved spending time on the boat with her husband Donald. Best friends always.
Pallbearers will be Robby Fabre, Bruce Holden, Cole Holden, Ryan Fabre, Rory Fabre, Joe Fabre, Mike Corsentino, Dyland Corsentino, and Paul Gosserano. Honorary Pallbearers are Al Laporte, Jr. and Doug LaPorte.
Visitation will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
