Dewey "Johnny" Woods Jr.

Dewey “Johnny” Woods, Jr., native of Augusta, GA and resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 81. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam and honorably discharged as a SSG E-6 (P). Johnny loved his family and was the hardest working man they ever knew. He was retired from BASF after 35 years of service and then went on to work at Home Depot for the last 10 years. He enjoyed cutting the grass, traveling and going to the beach, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Johnny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Diane Woods; children, Dewey Woods, III (Tiffany), Heath Woods, Sr., Kimberly Moore (Beau Merritt), and Kelly Crow (Brandon); grandchildren, Kayla Moore, Dewey Woods, IV, Kaitlyn Woods, Austin Dupre, Victoria Dupre, Heath Woods, Jr., Hailey Woods, Cameron Woods, Mariana Crow, Gage Crow, Hannah Brigalia, and Ryleigh Moore; great grandchildren, Baylor Bissett and Brynlee Woods; siblings, Debbie, Linda, Tommy, and Jimbo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Woods, Sr. and Mary Randall Woods; son, Ricky Moore, Jr.; sister, Brenda; brother, Ray; and his nephew, Bryan.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4 pm until 7 pm and will continue on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 9 am until funeral service at 11 am.
