A loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the age of 48. He was a Lieutenant for Baton Rouge City Police for 28 years. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Tina Guidry; daughter, Shelby Guidry; parents, Richard Guidry Sr and Joanne Guidry; step daughter, Megan Ott and husband Chad; step sons, Mike Matthews Jr. and fiancé Kelsey Courtney and Hunter Gremillion; sister, Penny Gann and husband, Percy; brothers, Kenneth Guidry and Richard Guidry Jr and wife Amy; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Carsyn, and Blakely Jo; former wife, Lori Langlinais; paternal grandfather, Chester Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Agnes Sallier Guidry; maternal grandparents, James and Jannie Pratt; sister, Karen Elaine Guidry; and nieces, Tyler and Jessica Guidry. A memorial service will be held at Greenoaks Reception Center on Wednesday November 4, 2015, at 6 PM followed by a celebration of life until 10 PM.
