Ms. Connie Stevens was born May 26, 1962 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Joseph L. Stevens Jr. and Rosie Mae Cole-Stevens. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and had a profound faith in her belief. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Gilbert Davis. She was a devoted sister, aunt and true friend to everyone that became a part of her life. She was a private person but gave freely of herself to all in so many ways. She devoted much of her life to and found joy in taking care of others, especially her parents. She was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia and a lover of classic movies and books. She was small in stature but she stood tall and strong in her faith. Never being a big talker, she said what she meant and meant what she said and people loved her for that alone. She departed this life on Wednesday January 1, 2014. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 12 PM until memorial service at 2 PM. Inurnment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
