He was born on August 1, 1970 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and resided in Gonzales, LA through his teenage years. Cliff graduated from East Ascension High School in 1988 and then served in the US Navy where he gained a lot of technical expertise, building on what he had learned in his father’s workshop. He completed his training with a superior rating, and he applied his knowledge in radar and communications by chasing submarines on a P-3 aircraft. After the Navy, he worked as an electrical technician for various companies, including DSM, Dow Chemical, and Foxboro by Schneider Electric. He earned a degree in electrical engineering along the way. He shared his expertise and passion while teaching courses at a local technical college. Most recently, he worked for Schneider Electric as a control systems engineer.
Since 2002 he resided in St. Francisville, LA. He was married to Leslie Milton for 26 years, and together they have 4 children. He loved his animals and treated them as his other children. He loved the outdoors, especially SCUBA diving, fishing, and kayaking with his wife. He was active in his community, coaching many youth sports teams, serving as a Boy Scout leader, and singing in church choir. Beyond that, no matter where he was or what he was doing, he would stop and help when someone was in need. He could fix just about anything, and he would do it while laughing and telling stories. His favorite trips were the ones he took with his family. He considered each day a new adventure, ready to be explored.
