peacefully passed away on May 21, 2023. He was born in Sicily Island, Louisiana, in 1931 to his
beloved parents Charles A. and Levia Taylor and siblings: Elise, Hasleteen, Margaret, George
“Sonny Boy” (all decd.). Charles had a lifelong journey of love and companionship with his
cherished wife, Earlene. Together, they celebrated 68 years of marriage before her passing in
January. Their union was the embodiment of love, devotion, and unwavering support. He served
in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in the Philippines, during the Korean War. Charles was a valued
member of IUOE local #406, and worked as a skilled crane operator at Borden Chemical until
his retirement. On Sunday afternoons, the smell of fresh fried fish and hushpuppies would fill the
air around his home, which he opened up for his family and friends to gather and grow. Charles
had an unwavering faith, finding strength and guidance in his beliefs. He and Earlene were
founding members of Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons: Ronald Dane
(Inetta), and Joseph Dale (Shannon). Grandchildren: Ross (Emily), Lee (Jill), Dillon (Hailey),
Meghan and Dustin. Great grandchildren: Henry, Joey, Hudson, Mia, and Hayden. Come join us
to celebrate his life, Thursday, June 1 at Fellowship Baptist Church: 14512 Greenwell Springs
