Charles Lee Fornea passed away at the Louisiana War Veterans Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at age 89. He was a native of Angie and a resident of Greenwell Springs. He was an Army veteran and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in World War II in the European Theater. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, March 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes on Friday, March 19, from 9 a.m. until service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by Brother Gerald Martin. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife, Eddie Mae Fornea; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney and Nancy, Richard and Cheryl, and John Fornea; three grandchildren, Amanda Caire and husband Chris, Derrick Fornea and wife Ashley, and Michael Fornea; and three great-grandchildren, Bradyn Fornea and Madison and Hannah Caire. Preceded in death by his parents Otha and Ina Fornea; sister, Willie Mae Renolds; and infant grandson, Charles Michael Fornea. Pallbearers will be Chris Caire, Michael and Derrick Fornea, Danny Williams, Carey Ensmiger and Jerry Jacobsen. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
