Bruce A Silva

Bruce Anthony Silva entered eternal rest on July 22, 2021. Born in New Orleans December 6, 1928, he was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Bruce is survived by his sons, Craig Silva (Patty), Glenn Silva (Genie) and Brent Silva; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mares Silva; his parents, Robert Silva, Sr., and Aurelia Fitzgerald Clark (stepfather Eugene); his brother, Robert Silva, Jr. (Helen); his sister, Marvel Carriere (Joseph); and stepbrother, Eugene Clark, Jr. After graduation from Warren Easton High School, Bruce joined the US Navy and faithfully served his country. After his marriage and the addition of his sons, he became a plant manager in the engineering department of AT&T in Baton Rouge. He spent his free time following his three sons to year-round sporting events. After his retirement, he became particularly fond of golf and especially enjoyed golf trips to numerous courses throughout the country. He also enjoyed being in his workshop where he became skilled handcrafting furniture for his home as well as for friends and family.
