A precious child was taken from us much too soon. Our hearts are broken and will never be the same. Brooklynn Paige LeBlanc, Born May 13, 2009, was killed on August 14, 2016 at the age of 7 years old. She was an honor student, second grader at Levi Milton Elementary in Walker, LA. She left behind her loving and devoted father, Christopher J. LeBlanc; her best “Little Buddy” brother, Caleb Joseph LeBlanc; her doting and loving grandparents, Sherry A LeBlanc and Terry and Fran Lemoine. She is survived by her aunt, Anne E. LeBlanc; her great uncle and aunt, Dena and Patti LeBlanc and cousins Jeff and Courtney LeBlanc, Jordan and Hunter LeBlanc. She is also survived by her uncles and aunts, Brett and Caresa Lemoine; Neil and Bridget Lemoine; cousins Austen, Dariyn, Kailyn and Hailey Lemoine; and newest cousins Joshua, Elizabeth, Matthew and Catherine Gatz. Also grieving is close friend Rebecca Greene. She was taken to heaven by her mother Lacey Lemoine LeBlanc, who died with her. She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents Vern J. “Dena” and Meda LeBlanc; maternal great-grandparents Lawrence and Frances Folse and Herbert and Mildred Lemoine. Brooklynn loved catching bugs, frogs, tadpoles, lizards and butterflies. But she was the epitome of femininity always dressing up in costumes and fancy clothes, playing makeup and manicures, performing her creative dancing, singing and cheering. She loved to do arts and crafts and was an extremely talented child. She was beautiful and charming to everyone she met. God gave us this exceptional child as a gift for such a short time, but she will remain with us in our hearts forever. We have a special angel in heaven waiting for us! Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20, 2016, from 9 am until 11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
