Brittany Lyn Melker Lawrence

Brittany Lyn (Melker) Lawrence, born on July 14, 1983 in Baton Rouge Louisiana to Jack C. Melker and Donna S. Melker. Brittany resided in Watson, Louisiana and was a certified pharmacy technician and a Licensed Practice Nurse who loved working and caring for others. She loved crafting, the beach and just hanging out with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Donna and Bradley Craddock; father and step-mother, Jack and Pat Rice Melker; her precious children, Brody Ryan Mizell (17), Chloe Jesica Mizell (15), Cooper Bradley Mizell (14), and Bella Grace Melker (10); grandparents, Joseph A. Samson III and Sylvia G. Samson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceeded in death by grandparents, Merritt Melker, Sr. and Kathryn Melker; great grandparents, Joseph A. Samson Sr. and Annette Samson and Elmo and Edna Gauthier; godmother, Joi Samson Watts; aunt, Kathy Melker Bliss; and her cousins, John Bliss and Bruce Melancon. Brittany loved life and wishes for this to be a day of celebration and not mourning. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Mary Bird Perkins Research Center to help find a cure of cancer.
