Bobbie Jean Dixon Woods passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 19, 2023 at the sweet age of 91. She was born in Galvez, Louisiana. In her younger years, Bobbie was a member of the Baker Chapter of the Louisiana Moose Association and always put a smile on the face of those she loved. She was an amazing cook, avid gardener, talented artist, and lover of music. Her love and passion for these can be seen in her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Bobbie is survived by her sisters, Janice Jo David and Shirley Ann (Gerald) Braud; daughters, Phyllis Rhea Ducote of Prairieville, LA; Linda Jane Stovall Osterchrist (Heiko) of Naples, FL; Laura Jean Garrett (Pat) of Prairieville, LA; grandchildren, Eric Ducote (Mandi) of Knoxville, TN; Jay Ducote of Roaming the Earth; Dana Ducote of Prairieville, LA; Lauren Stovall (Ira) of Oakton, VA; Lindsay Stovall (Travis) of Los Angeles, CA; Daniel Stovall (Molly) of Aurora, CO; J.C. Garrett of Independence, Iowa; Brooke Garrett (Shawn) of Bellevue,WA; as well as great-grandsons, Brooks Ducote of Knoxville,TN and Sylas Stovall of Aurora, CO.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Moody and Julia Dixon; Husband of 41 years, Harvey J. Woods; Siblings, Dalton; Doris; Joyce; M.H.; Connie; Elaine; Jerry; and Beverly, as well as her beloved sister-in-law, Alene (Aunt Turtle) Woods.
Pallbearers will be Heiko Osterchrist, Pat Garrett, Eric Ducote, Jay Ducote, J.C. Garrett, Daniel Stovall, Dana Ducote, as well as Brooke Garrett.
