"Barbara Ann Chenevert, a retired journalist, assistant city editor for the Morning Advocate State-Times, former reporter for the Catholic Commentator, and former liturgy coordinator for St. George Catholic Church, died September 22, 2018. She was 67 years old. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and LSU. She was an associate of St. Joseph's Academy Sisterhood. She is survived by her daughter Savannah Chenevert; son Ruston Sanders; stepson, Hunter Chenevert ( Emily); grandchildren Cole, Barrett and Hudson Chenevert; siblings Mike Kleinpeter (Rita), Bill Kleinpeter (Angel), Carolyn Morris (Buddy), Shirley Roubique (Don), Kay Brignac (Gary). She is preceded in death by her parents, John C. "Pete" and Hazel Kleinpeter. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on September 27 at 8 a.m. until the funeral Mass starting at 11 a.m. celebrated by Father Mike Schatzle, Father Tom Ranzino and Deacon Bill Kleinpeter. A reception will follow.
