Patricia S Nevins

Patricia Nevins, age 70 of Collinsville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Woltz Hospice Home, Dodson, N.C. Patricia was born on August 5, 1953 in Henry County, Va. to Edgar Stout and Violet Witt Stout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford Stout and Robert Witt. Pat graduated from Averett College and also received a Master’s Degree in Education from UVA. Pat was an elementary teacher at Collinsville Primary School for 40 years. After retirement she continued to teach as a substitute teacher for an additional eight years until her decline in health. She loved all the children she taught as if they were her own. She was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church for many years and taught Sunday School for children and enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in church programs. Pat is survived by her husband of 44 years, George Nevins; a daughter, Jessica Nevins; a stepson, Greg Nevins; one sister, Eva Beck; two brothers, Richard Stout (Linda) and David Stout (Marie); also numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Fieldale Baptist Church, 175 Church Hill Road, Fieldale, VA with Pastor Allen Jackson and Reverend Bonnylee Witt officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, suggest donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
