Margaret Ann Stegall, age 95, of Fieldale passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19th, 2024, at the Stanleytown Rehabilitation Center.She was born in Fieldale on November 28th, 1929, to Joseph Alfred Stegall and Lottie Virginia Stegall, who preceded her in death.
Margaret lived her entire life in Fieldale and graduated from Bluefield College with a degree in Missiology. Although she did not go to the mission field, she spent her life in Fieldale doing mission work at Fieldale Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She taught Sunday School for more than 40 years, served as Chairman of the Deacons, and served on many other committees. Margaret worked in the office of Fieldcrest Mills for over 35 years until her retirement. She always put God, family, and church first.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bettie Jane Stegall, and three brothers; Bernard Stegall, Bobby Stegall, and Donald Stegall.
Margaret is survived by one brother, Douglas Stegall (Becky), and two sisters; Pat Hall (Wayne) and Sallie Marie Minter (Jim). She is also survived by 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 3 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, and was preceded by 1 great-nephew. One dear nephew, Keith Stegall, whom she helped raised and loved like a son.
Funeral services will be held on January 8, 2025, at 11:00am at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park,
