Frank Edwin Stone

Frank Edwin Stone, 61, of Fieldale, died March 31, 2013 at the Saint Frances Medical Center in Richmond. He was born in Martinsville on September 6, 1951 to Ralph B. Stone and Mary Wells Stone of Fieldale. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and was a member of the Roanoke Valley Harley Davidson Association. Frank worked for Appalachian Power Company as a Line Supervisor for more than thirty six years and was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of forty one years, Brenda Smith Stone of the home, one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa S. and husband Eric S. Jones of Moseley, one sister, Elizabeth D. Stone of Greensboro, NC, two brothers, Robert B. Stone of Fieldale and John C. Stone of Roanoke and one grandson, Landon Riley Jones. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Bassett with Rev. Larry House officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home. Light refreshments for friends visiting will be provided by the Stone family.
