Esther Hazel Draper

Hazel Draper, age 96, lifelong resident of Oak Level, passed away on October 30, 2021 at Sovah Health of Martinsville. Miss Draper was born in Henry County on September 11, 1925 to the late Elijah S. Draper and Nannie Margaret Ramsey Draper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, W. Taylor Draper, Roy Hamp Draper, Bernie S. Draper, Lonnie E. Draper, W. Elizabeth Lovell and Margaret Draper. Miss Draper is survived by one brother, Wade M. Morrison of Annadale, Virginia along with thirteen nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Special thanks goes to the caregivers of Fork Mountain Rest Home and to G. Booker Haynes for his weekly visits and to her special little friend Ian Baker. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Henry Memorial Park.
