Billy Kyle Foley, 69, of 56 Big Mama Lane in Bassett, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on February 27, 1942 to Kyle Marshall Foley and Ida Haynes Foley. Billy retired from Ronile Manufacturing Company in Rocky Mount and was previously employed by Martin Processing and Bassett Mirror. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Curtis Turner Foley and three infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Marie Wall Foley of the residence; one daughter, Monica Foley Grim and husband Dave of Vinton; two sons, Christopher Kyle (Chris) Foley and wife Diane, Shawn Ashley Foley and wife Cheryl, all of Bassett; two sisters, Minnie Lou Belcher, Ella Sue Hylton and husband Clayton, all of Stuart; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Kyle Crawford, Dakota Christopher Foley, Steele Ashley Foley and Camille Ashley Foley; one step-grandchild, Jamie Lee Crawford
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Bassett with the Rev. Dr. Lew Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church and other times at the Bassett residence of Monica Grim, 121 Big Mama Lane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Women’s Shawl Ministry at First Baptist Church of Bassett.
