Barbara Ratliff Holt

Barbara Ratliff Holt, 86, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on March 18, 2023 at home. She was born on February 3, 1937 to the late Dimon and Verna Ratliff. In addition to her parents she was preeded in death by her husband Douglas Holt; brothers, Guy Ratliff, Clyde Ratliff, and sister, Geraldine Smith. She worked in the health care system as a Hospice Care Taker and enjoyed country songs especially Amazing Grace. She had an art of writing poems. Barbara was survived by her children; Kathy Foley, Sharon Davis, Paula Dubois, Linda Reed, Bridgette Painter and Bobby Foley; siblings, Eddie Ratliff, Grady Ratliff, Coy Ratliff, Alice Young, Mary Lee Sigmon, Myrtle Smith, Dot Shough, Carol Martin, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Henry Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, VA.
