Shawn is survived by his mother, Bobette "Bobbie" Dean of Peoria; his two brothers, Chad (Lisa) Ford of Canton, Tracy (Tammy) Ford of De Witt, and 3 nephews, Matthew (Ashley) Ford, Cory (Hailey) Ford, Derrick (Cristina) Rider and one niece, Brittney (Kyle) Kistner.
He was preceded in death by his father; William Ford, stepfather, Tony Dean; grandparents, Robert and Lorraine Myers; and cousin, Shane Rice.
Shawn worked in maintenance for Winpak in Pekin for 20 years. He also worked for Alcoa in Princeville for 15 years.
He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glasford. Shawn loved to go fishing, camping, boating and on vacations with his family.
Services will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13221 W. Todd School Rd in Glasford. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 and will be officiated by Rev. Raymond Barclay. Burial will take place at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
