He was born Feb. 16, 1948 in Anna, IL to Paul and Penny (Reynolds) Kerley, Sr. He married Brenda Mullen May 20, 1989 in Brimfield. She survives along with three sons: Calvin (Bree) Kerley of Manito, Craig Kerley of Bartonville, Chad (Courtney) Kerley of Bartonville, four grandchildren: Alexa, Eliza, Chad, and Chris Kerley, one brother, Al (Dar) Kerley of Peoria, his mother and father in law, Ron and Dory Mullen of Bartonville, one sister-in-law, Debbie Mullen of Peoria, two brothers-in-law, Steve (Tobie) Mullen of Bartonville, Ken (Melissa) Mullen of Metamora, and several nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul was a United States Navy veteran and also was in the Navy Seabees and the Air National Guard Reserves.
He was a Tool maker at Caterpillar for 30 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979, the Legion Riders, and the NRA.
Paul enjoyed camping, reading, crossword puzzles, and riding his Harley.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a Memorial Service Sunday July 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home. A celebration of Paul’s life will take place following the Memorial Service at the Bartonville American Legion on Airport Road in Bartonville.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for Paul’s grandchildren.
