Sam was born July 18, 1948, in Peoria, the son of Otto Samuel, Jr., and Dorothy Rose (Jacobs) Buhs. He married Judy Redenius on August 26, 1966, in Hanna City, and she survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Shelley (Jeff) Probyn; son, Otto Samuel “Sam” (Debra) Buhs, IV; grandchildren, Matthew Hoerr, Mollie Hoerr, and Joshua (Desiree) Buhs; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Georgia Bush, and Linda Eckhold; and brother, Oliver Buhs, Sr.
Sam was a life-long mechanic, and owner of Buhs Truck & Trailer, Inc. along with his wife. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling, and his Campers Village family.
Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Cottonwood Cemetery in Edwards. Memorials in honor of Sam may be made to the Brimfield Community Fire Protection District, or to B.Y.E. Ambulance Service. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
