Dora H. Isaacs

Dora H. Isaacs, 93, formerly of Bartonville, Peoria and Wayne County, Illinois, died at the home of her grandson in Springfield, Illinois on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was born on July 30, 1918 in , Wayne County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Iley and Dessie (Harrole) Jenkins. She married Coleman Isaacs May 29, 1938 in Hamilton County, Illinois. He preceded her in death March 21, 1979 in Peoria County, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by one son, Albert Isaacs and two sisters, and one half brother.

She is survived by four grandchildren, David (Melinda) Isaacs of Springfield, Illinois, Dennis (Patsy) Isaacs of Peoria, Illinois, Daniel Isaacs of Bradenton, Florida, and Dora Poorman of Springfield, Illinois. She has seven great grandchildren.

Dora had worked various occupations in the Peoria area, retiring from the Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville. She was a member of Our Saviors Chapel in Peoria.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. John Chamness , her nephew, will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior the services at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Garrison Cemetery, Aden, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Our Saviors Chapel.
