She was born October 14, 1937 in Hanna City to Robert and Amyne (Largent) Quick. She married Douglas Brooks on November 3, 1953 in Missouri. He passed away June 2, 2018 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother, and four sisters.
Survivors include three children: Debra (Rick) McCool, Cindy (Greg) Forbes, Doug (Karen) Brooks, and one brother, Tom (Linda) Quick. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amy (John) Heerman, Ricky (Diana) McCool, Jessica (Anthony Briggs) Brooks, Brandon (Nicole) Brooks, Bryson Forbes, Brody (Michelle) Forbes, and 10 great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Abby, and Brendan Heerman, Josselyn and Keegan Brownfield, Nash and Dylan McCool, and Lexia, Ava, and Kordel Dentino, and one great-great-grandchild, Savannah Evans.
Carole bowled in many women’s leagues in the Peoria area. She worked for Multi-Ad for several years.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
