Tommye was born in Walnut, Mississippi, daughter of the late Joshua & Viola Goodman. She was the manager of Lifeway Christian Bookstore until she retired.
Along with her parents Tommye was preceded in death by her close friend Joyce Farrish.
Mrs. Gaines life story will live on through her husband Kenneth H. Gaines, her only son Kenneth M. (Jerri) Gaines; grandsons Rory M. & Rex J. Gaines; nieces and nephews Rob Goodman, Sissy Crocker, Holly Rixie and Ashley Painter; and her close friends James Farris.
A gathering for family & friends will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM until a celebration of life begins at 2:00 PM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
