Robert L. Marchbanks

Robert Marchbanks, age 90, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Robert was born November 16, 1930 the late Leland Taylor and Gladys Knox Marchbanks. He retired from Southern College of Optometry where he was a Registrar. Robert loved fishing, bowling, spending time with family, and camping. He served in the Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his sisters; Martha Ford and Marguerite Chipman, his brothers; David and Raymond Marchbanks, his children; Robert William Marchbanks and James Michael Marchbanks.

Robert is survived by his siblings; Dorothy Harber and Jimmy Marchbanks, his children; Lynn Marchbanks Story (Mark) and Robert Marchbanks (Sandra), his grandchildren; Jeannie Story Benson, Cheri Story Phelps, Rannon Story, Michael Marchbanks, Jacob Marchbanks, and Sarah Marchbanks, his great-grandchildren; Christian Vandergrift and Taylor Phelps.

A funeral service for Robert will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Robert may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association.
