March 12, 1964 – July 11, 2012
Rickie “Rick” Charles Vaughn, 48, born on March 12, 1964, passed from this life on July 11, 2012. Born in Cairo, Illinois, Rickie was a long-time resident of the Memphis, Tennessee area, most recently residing in Lakeland, Tennessee. Being raised in an orphanage greatly enhanced his desire to achieve every goal in life and gave him the determination to be a survivor. Leaving the children’s home at age 17, he graduated high school while living on his own. He went on to put himself through college and started multiple successful businesses over the next several years. He worked and played hard, loved big and was determined to enjoy life to its fullest. Rickie was a gifted musician and successful businessman who had the world at his fingertips. Well-known for his generosity, he was also known by many, simply, for his love of God. He was eternally grateful for Johnny and Jo Glisson and often reflected on their loving support and the parental role they held in his life. He adored Tammy and Madison, loved Tammy’s family as his own, and proudly loved his family and friends.
