She was born September 10, 1961 to parents Carrol and Minnie Martindale.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her father Carrol Martindale, Sr., and her sister Susan Martindale.
She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years David Bowen; daughter Amy Wade (Andrew); son Brian Bowen (Crystal), granddaughter Amelia; mother Minnie Martindale; brother Carroll Martindale, Jr.; and loyal four-legged companion Goldie.
Phyllis enjoyed being outdoors gardening, loved flowers, riding motorcycles around the country, was an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels football team, spending time with the apple of her eye – granddaughter Amelia, listening to all kinds of music, and entertaining friends and family during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 1:30 PM, with a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. Following the services all friends and family are welcomed to a reception. All services and the reception are being held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
