Norma was born June 26th, 1933 on a small farm in Loyd, Mississippi to Eurice and Oren Greene. She left home as a young girl to pursue a career in the secretarial field in Memphis, Tennessee. It was at this time she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Hamilton, who she married and spent 56 years happily married until his passing in 2011. Norma and Bill raised two daughters, Teresa Moore (Monte) of Memphis, Tennessee and Susan Netter (Larry) of Lakeland, Tennessee. Norma was a devoted homemaker and attended Bellevue Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and spending time with her family and friends.
Norma is predeceased by her parents, her husband, William “Bill” and brother, Fred. She is survived by her two daughters, one brother Bill, grandchildren, Valarie Morris (Craig), Stacey Peterson (Jay), Steven Moore, and 3 great-grandchildren, Avery and Trey Peterson and Hayden Moore. Norma will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, September 8th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
