Mitzi Baldassare Breeden, 64, of Memphis, TN, transitioned into Heaven on July 12, 2018, after a short illness, surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she moved to Memphis with her surviving parents James Baldassare and Iline Baldassare.
She retired from FedEx after a 31 year career in management. After, retirement she spent her time traveling, collecting, and enjoying her grandchildren. Mitzi loved to make blueberry jam, poundcakes, and other enticing desserts for her family. Her favorite hobbies included button collecting, anything to do with owls, and hanging out with her best friends Judy, Maria, Rhonda Roo, Kay, Nancy, Sharon and Diane.
Mitzi is survived by her husband, Denny Breeden, her daughter, Candance Breeden Teague (Jason), her son, Dustin Dewayne Carr, her parents, James and Iline Baldassare, a sister Audrey Bragg
and brother Jack Baldassare. She also leaves her grandchildren, Hunter Paul Pendergrass, Nathan Daniel Teague, Brody Lynn Teague, Seth Conner Dennison and Autumn Jewel Carr.
She was a one of a kind kind Southern Lady. Mitzi loved returning to Savannah, Georgia to visit with her most favorite aunt Mildred Helton. She loved life to the fullest and will be truly missed. The family would like to give great appreciation to Judy Yount and Maria Cicora for the everlasting care and dedication given to Mitzi before her transition to Heaven.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm, on Friday, July 20, 2018, with a celebration of Mitzi’s life at 2pm, on Saturday, July 21, 2018, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown PKY, Bartlett, TN 38133.
