Marlyn Crawford Hensley Sargent

Marlyn Crawford Hensley Sargent, 77, went to be with her Lord after a five year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Her strength during her life was an inspiration to many. As a young adult she helped her younger siblings in so many ways. Widowed at 34, she raised her three children with a strong belief in God and family. After they were grown, she found the second love of her life and married him. She had a true servant’s heart for all. At Rosemark Baptist Church she worked in the nursery, vacation Bible school, then found her true calling in the kitchen as the director and even produced a cookbook for a church fundraiser. She loved making cards for any occasion encouraging all who received them. She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Hensley, parents Horace and Vera Crawford, brothers Thomas, Louis and Dale. She is survived by her husband of 31 years James Sargent, Children: Robin Haner (Dave), Sherri Cannon (Mark) and Darren Hensley. Step children: Cissy Flesher (Randy) and Jimmy. Grand Children Andy Haner (Yasmin), Josh Haner (Carla), Kristin Bobo (Eric), Rusty Haner, Rebecca Lackey (Shawn), Bethany Russell (Justin), Caitlyn Berry (Jeff ) Holly Swift (Billy), Christopher Sargent, Casey Sargent, Brandon Sargent, Ryan Sargent. Great grandchildren: Noah and Sophie Bobo, Henry Russell, Shelby Motes. One sister: Carolyn Pearson and two brothers, Colin Crawford (Barbara), Terry Crawford (Juanita), a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 and a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
