Kelly graduated from Wynne High School in 1952. After graduation he joined the United States Army, where he proudly served from 1952 until 1954.
After discharge he spent more than 60 years as a piano tuner, repairman and business owner, founding The Music House in Forest City, Arkansas that he operated for over 10 years.
He was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and leader of the Soul Winning Team. His hobbies included being an avid bass fisherman and raising Quail.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marcelle; sons, Paul and Steve; sister, Juanita Hogan; brother, Thomas Walker; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sons, David and Robert; sisters, Lillian Faye Easter and Irma Jean Harris.
Kelly will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to serving the Lord and being an active member in his church.
A gathering of family and friends for Kelly will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, followed by s celebration of life at 2:00 PM. A committal service will take place immediately following the service in Memorial Gardens.
