Douglas "Doug" Roland Starnes, age 79, of Mason, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Doug was born in Marianna, AR in 1945 to Frontis and Dovie Starnes, who preceded him in death as well as his brothers; Haskell "Hack" Starnes, Howell Starnes and one sister, Claudia Haynes and one son, Robye Starnes.
Doug was an entrepreneur in business and investing. He loved to travel with his family, go fishing, and especially boating. He loved his family and was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, he definitely had a servants heart. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He made a great impact on everyone he came in contact with, as he never met a stranger, he always met a friend.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Jerry Anne Starnes. Also left with great memories are his daughter, Kimberly Steen (Austin) and one son, David Starnes, as well as step-daughters and grandchildren.
The family requests donations to be made in Doug's name to the charity of the donors choice.
