Debra "Debi" Vanhoozer, age 68, of Covington, Tennessee passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021.Debi was born February 6, 1953 to the late Ollie and Lady Couey of Lake village, Arkansas. She devoted her life to helping others, She was as a hospital based nurse for 40 years. Debi was a loving Wife. Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrolling Facebook and watching her grandbabies. Debi truly had a heart for caretaking.
She is preceded in death by her son, Justin Lee Utz.
Debi is survived by her husband, Eston VanHoozer, her children; Ashley Gibbs, Brittany Lollar (Seth), Gabriel VanHoozer and Harley Gibbs-VanHoozer, her grandchildren; Caitlyn Hubbard, Lynnlee "Kerry" Dean (Weston), Paisley, Pyper and Jack Lollar, and her brother, Billy Clark and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Debi will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.The funeral service will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Debi may be offered to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society or the Memphis Union Mission.
