David is survived by his wife, Karen Kirby; his son, Colin Michael Kirby; his father Dennis Kirby and his wife Sandy; his siblings, Bryan Kirby (Revonda), Doris “DD” Kirby, Janice Nelson, Lesley Hollowell (Kevin) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
David graduated from Southaven High School and attended Mississippi State University. Following that, David began a successful 30 year career in automobile sales in the Memphis area.
David loved all sports - especially coaching youth baseball, basketball, football. He was a huge fan of Mississippi State Athletics and the Memphis Grizzlies. He loved being on the water and especially loved bass fishing with his Dad and his son, Colin.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Friday, October 6 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
