Dan will always be "The Man" as we often called him. We develop several nicknames for him and he always took them and ran with them. He loved to laugh and I loved making him laugh after we finished our classes for the day. This was always the highlight of the day. He was ridiculously funny, had a ton of charm, charisma,  and unmatched wit that made him who the Dan we adored. Whenever we would go to lunch somehow Dan would always get free and extra stuff like desserts and we could never understand how he did that and he would laugh so big and hard while showing off his extra goodies. We start calling it the "Dan effect". That's just the effect he had on people. He was my instructor when I came through the school. When I decided to work there, I was so intimidated because I didn't think I would ever be able to teach along side the great Mr. Boyd. I never told him that but he would always inspire me and tell me I was gonna do fine and that's was the comfort enough coming for one of the Greats. One of the nicknames he was recently tagged with was The G.O.A.T, which he will always be. Just so happen we went to lunch one day and he unkowingly stood by this picture and it was fitting since he was recently deemed the G.O.A.T. He let me take the picture smiling and enjoying the moment. He is definitely one of a kind and I find peace and joy knowing he knew how loved and admired he was by us all. We will miss his presence but hold on to the memories we've created with him and he will definitely remain in my heart and memory forever. 

Danny and I worked together for years at St Francis Park. We had some good times. Praying for the family. May God give you strength.❤🙏

Rest Peacefully with Jesus Mr. Boyd🕊💗 I can’t thank you enough for all the guidance you showed me in my first 10 stressful weeks of Respiratory school.  There was nothing I loved more about coming to your class than hearing your addictive laugh. Your smile was contagious and I can’t believe the last time I saw you in class was just that, my last. You were such a joy to be around Mr. Boyd. I am Honored to have been taught by you. There will never be another better respiratory teacher than you. We love you!❤️

Rest in heaven Mr. Boyd! You were one of the best Instructors I’ve ever had through out my academic career and it saddens me to see you gone. I didn’t get to tell you like I wanted on the last day of class how much you’ve impacted my life in just these last 9 weeks. It was an honor having you as my teacher. You were nothing more than a joy. We will never forget you! I will never forget you. <3! 

Mr. Boyd was a great , genuine , and loving professor. He wanted every student he came in contact with to be successful. I’m grateful to have experience such a Smart and passionate respiratory therapist , not to mention, I’ve learned so much from him in the 10 weeks that I had him a Concorde career college. One thing that stuck with me that Mr. Boyd always  Encouraged was to have a positive attitude and that will be your foundation to being a great respiratory therapist. One thing I can say is; I’m going to miss his smile while walking down the hall, along with his  funny sense of humor. 
There was never a dull moment while being around him. Thanks to Mr. Boyd I am set up for success while completing the respiratory therapy program. 

You will be missed dearly! Thank you for the impact you made in my life and the many times I thought I couldn't but you reminded me I could!
 There will never be another ODB

Mr. Boyd was one of my instructors attended Concorde with the goal of becoming a Respiratory Therapist.  Mr. Boyd set the foundation for me and our class.   His knowledge and wittiness gave encouragement and plenty, I do mean plenty of laughs. 
 I graduated and began my career.   I would come back to Concorde to see my instructors and I  definitely had to see Mr. Boyd.  Mr. Boyd allowed me to speak to his class and I would walk away with some laughs that only Mr. Boyd could gift.  
I cherish those moments of encouragement and priceless laughs he gave.   A genuine, kind, intelligent man dedicated to the profession of Respiratory.  He touched man lives and we loved our Mr. Boyd.   I am grateful to have known Mr. Boyd.   

I have many fond memories of Danny. I remember his great smile and laughing. I am very proud to be his cousin. I have enjoyed knowing you. I know that your family will miss you. Thank You. Your cousin,

Mr. Boyd was not only a wonderful person but he was a great teacher and a inspiration to all of his students. He was tough on us some times but then he would turn around and make us laugh so hard. Great sense of humor with a wonderful smile. He paved the way to my career and to many other respiratory therapists careers.   I will be forever grateful and thankful to have known such a kind and caring person. RIP Mr. Boyd. Until we meet again♥️🕊

Mr.Boyd was such a great teacher and to have him to be a part of our life was such a blessing. He gave each and every one of his student a great part of him that we could use day to day in our journey of career. He always was so encouraging and funny! He will truly be miss !!! We love u  Mr. Boyd from all your students!!!!!

I worked with Danny for many many years at SF Park. We had alot  of fun times in our young years, canoeing, camping, snow skiing ,dancing and partying.  What I will miss most is that huge smile that was always on his face. We had so many fun times , all we had to do was look at each other to start laughing, reminiscing about the good ole days, when I would see him sparingly at SF Bartlett as an instructor there with the students. I am so sad. I'm glad Danny knew how much I loved him. I'm sure gonna miss that smile, but I'll  see you again, and when I do we'll  bust out laughing again. Teresa (Byrd) Wolf

21 years was not enough my dear friend and colleague. My heart is truly broken. Your laughter was contagious. My admiration for you still drives me to be the very best I can be. Knowing that you literally have impacted thousands of lives and your teachings are seen in those who were fortunate to have you throughout the tri-state area gives me great comfort.  There will NEVER be another Mr. Boyd! Watch over us my friend,  love and miss you  dearly!

   It breaks my heart that you were taken from us so soon. I’m thankful our paths crossed when they did.  Just wish it had been sooner. I can’t even begin to explain how much you meant to me. Thank you for all the advice, encouragement, laughs, memories, and support you gave me.  You were truly one of a kind and represented our profession so well! Work will never be the same but we will without a doubt carry on your legacy. I will miss you so much! Until we meet again ❤️

Danny, I don't really know where to start, besides me being very young, in & out of the Memphis hospitals with my burns.  You were always there for me.  Just when I thought another doctor was knocking to come in to see me, my eyes and heart always lit up knowing it was you, whether you brought stuffed animals, toys, or played games.  I never doubted if I was in Memphis, I would see you.  Sweet cousin of mine, I will see you again.  Enjoy your time with your Dad, and my parents for sure. I love you so much!     Joi Lynn
