Dana Joyce McMillan, after a long courageous battle, passed victoriously into the arms of Jesus at the age of 52 on February 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Dana was born on October 20, 1969, in Memphis, TN. to the late Sam and Billie Thomson McMillan. She practically grew from birth to adulthood in their McMillan & Thomson Dance Studio. She is survived by her two sisters, Debbie (Larry) McMillan Mills and Tami (Gary) Lynn McMillan; niece Erica (Andy) Mills Eschbach and nephews Keith (Aundrea) Allen Mills, Dustin (Gin) Benjaman McMillan and Samuel Glenn McMillan, and several great nephews and nieces, all of whom she loved as her own. She is also survived by her Aunt Nancy Saigeon and Uncle Bill McMillan as well as several cousins. In addition to her parents, Dana is preceded in death by her sister Tina McMillan Sitzes and a niece Kristina Sitzes.
The love Dana shared with others was evidenced to the family by the outpouring of concern from those who worked alongside her at Pyramex (current), Wright Medical, Software Earnings and the Mid-South Coliseum. She was loved by her many friends at Germantown Baptist Church and Parkway Village Baptist Church as well as over 50 churches and groups around the country that had her on their prayer lists. Dana wanted to make her life matter and she did just that by uniting so many people together in prayer for a common cause.
