Cora Lee Burroughs, 78, of Memphis, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis. Ms. Burroughs retired as a civil servant after 20 years. She was of the Methodist Faith. She loved to read and spend time with her family. She is survived by her children, Lucinda German (Willie) of Somerville; Jana Whitt (Donald) of Covington; and Allyson Hauss (Gregg) of Eads; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy German (Shauna) of Arlington; Jeff German (Stephanie); Jacob German both of Somerville; Allen Antoine of San Francisco, CA; Donnie Whitt of Memphis; Dillon Antoine (Krystian) of Covington; Kimberlee Brooks (Stephen) of Tuscaloosa, AL; Stephen Hauss; and Callie Beth Hauss both of Eads; and one great-grandchild Chandler German. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Noon. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens (formerly Memory Hill Gardens).
