Billy Howell, Age 68, played his final round of golf with his sons, where he suffered a fatal heart attack on Monday, July 5, 2021. Billy was born on January 12, 1953 in Memphis, TN. Billy was the oldest of nine children born to his parents, Leldon and Emily Howell. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1972. Billy played High School Baseball and received a scholarship to the University of Alabama to play baseball. He also played on several local teams in Memphis including Coca Cola.
Billy was employed at Insulation and Refractors Services for the last 30 years, where he was currently in management. He also had been a member of the Local 90 Insulation and Refactoring Union.
Billy was also an avid sports fan in his free time. Billy loved Alabama football and Nascar racing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Billy and his wife Robin loved to play golf and travel with family and friends. Billy and Robin also enjoyed to host gatherings in their Bartlett home for friends and family.
Billy will be acutely missed by his wife of 21 years, Robin; his children: Adam (Tatum) Howell of Arlington, TN, Amber Kelley-Clark (Ken) of Arlington, TN, and Bubba Sandefer (Amy) of Arlington, TN; his “2nd sons” Mike, Dustin and Eli, his grandchildren: Faylia, Brantlee, Randi, Adler, Brennan, Cas, Cayden, Taylorfaye, and Hollis. He is also survived by his brothers Larry (Debbie) Howell of Bartlett, TN, Ricky (Nettie) Howell of Olive Branch, MS, David Howell of Holly Springs, MS, and Terry Howell of Durango, MT, and his sisters Barbara (Willie) Lawrence of North Cockrun, MS, and Brenda Hunter of Oakland, TN. Billy was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Michael Howell and Jerry Howell. Billy also leaves an abundance of treasured friends and family members.
