Billy Charles Edwards

Billy Charles Edwards was born October 10, 1937, in Hickman, Kentucky. He passed away June 7, 2015, at Methodist University Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Billy was passionate about serving others; he served as a greeter, and was an active member at Germantown Church of Christ. He served in the US Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Tennessee Air National Guard. Billy retired from his accounting career at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mr. Edwards, the beloved husband of Rosalind Rachel Whaley Edwards, is also survived by his children: Lisa Carol Edwards of Memphis, Amy Lynn Edwards of Lafayette, CO, and David Ezell Edwards of Memphis; sister, June Edwards Colwell of Fayetteville, AR; niece, Toya McCalman (Michael) of Cordova, their daughter, Ashley McCalman and her son, Luke of Cordova; sister-in-law, Marilyn Vennari of Collierville; brother-in-law, John T. Whaley (Nancy) of Atlanta, GA and nephew, Wyatt Whaley (Dawn) and their daughter, Spencer of Atlanta, GA, niece Carol Ann Janca (Jim) of Cave Creek, AZ. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at Germantown Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
