Betty leaves behind her soulmate of 32 years Michael K. Miller Sr. and children Michael K. Miller Jr., Michelle K. Miller, Mia K. Miller, Wendy Bailey, Carla Hinote, Deana Dover, and loving Care Giver Mattie Gatson. Although not related, Betty had a longer and better quality of life because of Mattie Gatson’s care.
Betty was born in Nashville on October 28,1944. Her family moved to Memphis where she grew up. She was a graduate of Harding Academy. She also attended Memphis State, majoring in Home Economics. It was there that she developed her passion for cooking and sewing. She worked in several different professions: Sales for Sears; Dental Profession; Kindergarten Teacher; and spent 20 years as Secretary-Treasurer of Digital Now, Inc. She has been a long-time member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
Betty had many hobbies. First, she was a loving wife and enjoyed time spent with her husband. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed making special dishes. Betty was very skilled and enjoyed sewing. She liked solving crossword puzzles. Her husband is an avid car collector and she enjoyed assisting him with that hobby.
A gathering of family and friends for Betty will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Followed by a celebration of life service Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service to be held immediately after at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
