Anita Louise Coghill, age 84, of Iuka, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. Anita was born in Memphis, Tn to parents Jesse Gwin and Nellie Jennings. Anita is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Nellie Gwin as well as her husband Gene Coghill. Anita is survived by her children, Kim McAfee, Kelon Coghil, Keith Coghill and Kurt Coghill, her brother, Jesse Gwin and her two sisters, Shelia Belve and Melba Gillium, granddaughter Brittany Hans (Dej), great-grandsons Lucas Coons and Milo Hans from Chandler Arizona as well as a long time friend, Victor Ferguson. Anita retired from Sears working in merchandise handling. Anita will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Anita will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at External Service Location, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38133.
