I had the pleasure of working with Vicki as her research assistant when she was at the University of Missouri - Columbia.  She was always supportive of me as a student and budding educator and I will never forget her warm smile and infectious laugh.  She will be missed…

I met Vicki at ASHE, a professional conference years ago. She was such a nice person, supportive and respectful. Shocking to hear her passing. My condolences to the family. Vicki, RIP.

Vicki was a straight shooter, a terrific teacher, and someone who helped me in many ways.  She went out of her way to get me into the M.Ed. program at UNLV and later helped me overcome some difficulties so I could graduate.  She told me about her experiences in the pineapple fields of Oahu and her experiences at Manoa.  As an expert in Higher Education leadership, she had a "favorite" character who served as an example of how NOT to lead.  We laughed about him and even came across a bobble head of this individual, which she displayed in class whenever she talked about him.  This individual repeated his bad behavior over and over, causing Vicki to refer to him as "The Gift that Keeps on Giving."  Vicki had such a great sense of humor.  
    I think of her often and am grateful I had a chance to know her.

I'm very sorry to hear the tragic news of Vicki's passing.  May you find peace and confort in your memories of her.  You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

My husband and I were blessed to live next door to Viki for over a decade; we enjoyed her friendship and she was the best neighbor imaginable, including helping us with our kitties when we traveled. I will miss her soooo much.

I could always look for Vicki to be on a Chapter ride.  She made me feel welcome.  Always had something nice to say and with a smile.

I think God needed someone to help Him with organization.
You are truly missed.

I worked with Vicki as a fellow Senate Chair during the 2020-2021 academic year at the height of the pandemic.  Vicki was a firecracker and fought tirelessly for all faculty. She was never afraid to come off mute and I had so much respect for her for that.  Rest in peace, Vicki.

My heart goes out to all of Vicki's family, friends and co-workers; all who knew her as we grieve her passing. I met Vicki, over 20 years ago, through a mutual friend in Columbia, MO.

We have kept in touch regularly since then. Vicki was such a caring and gentle soul, who truly enjoyed life. She cared deeply about people and had a servant's heart. And boy did she love riding her HOG! 

She has had a tremendous impact on so many people's lives and she will be greatly missed on this earth as angels in heaven welcome her.   Mike McCuistion

Vicki was my supervisor when I worked on Maui for Liberty House Maui Resorts. She lived Upcountry and I lived in Kahului - so we would carpool often to the office in Kaanapali. I learned so much from Vicki and took those lessons with me when I left to return to school and teaching. I still recall her making these "popping" sounds referring to me growing scales and having to toughen up during personnel talks with employees. She was such a hard worker that I felt I too could also do more and do better. She led by example. (As the Store Manager, she even stayed in the Kauai store when Hurricane Iniki hit, whooshing toilets and all!)
     So many Hawaii stories: waving tourists off the road who were distracted by breaching whales, cleaning the shop at the Maui Prince Hotel into the wee hours (the company President was coming the next day and we were short of housekeepers!)  then getting scoldings from hotel security for blasting the music too loud, heading to Molokai for the annual Christmas party, fishing in Makena, golfing when we could around Maui, and more.
     I will miss having an opportunity to have a beer with her and as we say here, just to talk story. She was so smart, so thoughtful. It was always so much fun to hang out with her.
      My family and I are saddened by her passing. Our condolences to her family. 
      I am so fortunate to call her my friend.

Vicki was a mentor, professor, research partner, dissertation advisor, and friend to me and many others. She was incredibly smart and witty. She had the best one-liners. When she set out to accomplish something, you knew it was going to get done. Needless to say, she was a legend in the field of higher education. On her spare time, she loved to ride her bike. It wasn't too long ago I received a text from her saying that "riding has been terrific!" and then wanted to see how my family and I were doing.  In closing, I am thankful for everything she has done for me and so many others!

I can’t believe Andrea found that pic of us at the Kona total eclipse. We trekked over the lava fields that day to find “da best” spot…and later that weekend hiking in near Kalapana to view the lava flowing into the ocean! I will never forget sharing those special memories with you Vicki!

While living in Hawaii for 20+ years on the islands of Oahu, Maui, and Kauai, Vicki loved to fish and golf. She asked me recently if I still fished. I told her that I’ve taken my grand nephews fishing since they were little and they learned to use poles, dive, throw net, surround net AND NOW they know how to clean and cook the fish. I sit in the shade while I watch them fish, and I eat the fish. (-:   I’m sorry that Vicki didn’t make it back to Lāna‘i to fish.  Her pole was waiting for her.

Vicki was a wonderful person who achieved many goals in life while she remained kind, loving and fair to everyone she met. Her family must be proud of her. She was very hard working and she was the most goal-oriented person that I knew! She held retail management positions at Liberty House (later bought out by Macy’s) while she took classes to obtain her bachelor’s, master’s and finally her Ph.D. at UH Hawaii at Manoa. She wanted to become a professor and she did it!  Amazing! All of her friends in Hawaii are so proud of her achievements and we thank her family for sharing her with us.  We will miss Vicki’s presence on earth.  

I’ll be flying to Las Vegas to honor our dear Vicki. I’ll see some of you there.

I will forever miss Vicki. We met through our love of riding. We took a cross country trip together that brought us to the museum in Milwaukee. Mecca for a Harley rider. I truly loved riding with you and talking with you and sharing time together. Till we meet again

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Vicki's death. My sincerely condolences. Vicki and I shared some research interest in common and were "conference pals." We'd attend and present at many of the same sessions and always managed to catch up for dinner.  She was smart and funny. and very humble about the contributions she made to research in the field. She will be missed.

Dr. Vicki Rosser was a powerhouse! She was an amazing colleague and an advocate for faculty and students alike. I served on many student committees with her and she always gave her best effort to helping them shine. Vicki worked hard to ensure equity for all. She was tough, and she was fair, and I always knew she would give her best. I will miss her spark, her enthusiasm, and her joy for living.

Vicki was an amazing person and had such a passion for riding. She motivated me to do my best at everything I did. She was someone I could seek advice and solace. I am thankful my interest in Harley Davidson brought her into my life.  I feel such a void with her gone but I know she would tell me to be strong and to continue to live my life to the fullest. Ride with the angels Vicki! You may be gone but never forgotten .

Vicki was my advisor and mentor at UNLV.  She supported me through challenging times and led me to one of my greatest accomplishments in graduating with my Ph.D. I just had dinner with her in Las Vegas in March and she treated me to such a wonderful steak meal. I am so glad we kept in touch over the years, as I first met her in 2008. May her memories be a blessing to all of us.

It was amazing to watch Vicki grow as a rider. I loved hearing her stories, and was amazed by how kind she was. I was blessed to call her friend. I'll miss you Vickie!!

My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. Dr. Rosser was a true legend at UNLV. A mentor and inspiration to so many. I genuinely am not sure my career and life would be what it is today if she and I had not crossed paths. She was such a cheerleader and champion for all of those she taught. One of the greatest honors in life is to use your own life to impact the lives of others and she embodied that everyday. She will be remembered for that.

She is a woman that each and every woman looks up to.  She remained stedfast on accomplishing her goals and doing what she loved.  Smart, caring, and a real down to earth being. I am awed by her bravery. She will forever be in my heart as I remember and cherish the times that we had together. Ride on Vicki......

I had the privilege of knowing Vicki for many years and many more miles. I went from being a mentor to her, to being inspired by her "beast-mode" attack on life. She was literally living her best life and told everyone that's what she was doing. Without a doubt, she added value to my life and there is no better friend than that. Ride in Paradise my friend. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
