Raymond Juan Gonzales

Raymond J. Gonzales, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, Uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in his home in Barstow, California.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Marie; his children: Raymond (Dolores), Michael (Olga), Daniel (Jodi), and Lawrence; his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Erica, Rachel, Natalie, Eric Gabriel, Salina, Sierra, Sophia, and Raymond; his sister Olivia (Raul) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Raymond is preceded in death by his father, Jesus R. Gonzales; his mother, Mary Zavala Gonzales; and his sister, Mary Ann Gonzales.

Born on June 24, 1942, in San Bernardino, California, Raymond was raised in the close-knit community of Needles, California. He was a graduate of Needles High School, Class of 1960.

In 1965, Raymond and Anna Marie moved to Barstow, California. Raymond worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) for 36 years before his well-deserved retirement in 2001.

Raymond will be greatly missed.

A viewing for Raymond will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 505 E Mountain View St, Barstow, CA 92311. A rosary will occur Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 505 E Mountain View St, Barstow, CA 92311. A mass will occur Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 505 E Mountain View St, Barstow, CA 92311. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Mt View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Rd, Barstow, CA 92311.
