Joe B. Melton, 82, passed away on June 25, 2015. He was a resident of Barstow for over 60 years. Joe retired from civil service USMC Nebo. He is survived by his 6 children, Cora (Charles) Beniquez, Monica (Gilbert) Chong, Donna (Martin) Marin, Sally Tetzlaff, Joseph (Catherine) Melton, John (Veronica) Melton; 10 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Monica T. Melton, and his daughter Evangeline Melton Chavez. Joe loved traveling to Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, New Mexico, Illinois & Missouri. Most of all he loved entertaining family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of his grandson, John Joseph Melton to: Loma Linda, Ronald McDonald House, 11365 Anderson St., Loma Linda, CA 92354. Services will be held at St. Joseph Church on July 16th with visitation at 6pm and Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held on July 17th at 10am.
